Infiniti TV & Customer-Owned Devices: Understanding Your Responsibilities
One of the biggest advantages of Infiniti TV is flexibility.
Infiniti TV is designed for customers who want to use their own compatible streaming devices and choose how they watch their television service. That freedom is great for people who are already comfortable working with streaming devices and third-party IPTV applications.
But with that flexibility comes an important responsibility.
Your Device. Your App. Your Responsibility.
When you choose to use Infiniti TV on your own streaming device, VEHO TV provides the active television service connection — not the device or the third-party application you choose to use.
That means you are responsible for:
Installing a compatible IPTV application on your device
Entering and maintaining your service credentials
Configuring the application
Keeping your device software updated
Keeping your chosen IPTV application updated
Troubleshooting problems involving your device or application
Maintaining enough storage, memory and network performance for your device to operate properly
Because your streaming device and IPTV application are products made and maintained by other companies, VEHO TV cannot remotely access, configure, repair or troubleshoot customer-owned equipment.
What Can VEHO TV Support?
Our responsibility is the Infiniti TV service connection.
If you're having trouble connecting, we can verify whether your Infiniti TV service credentials or connection are active and usable.
That's the boundary of our technical support on customer-owned equipment.
If we verify that your Infiniti TV connection is active and functioning, but your selected application still will not connect, freezes, crashes, buffers excessively or otherwise doesn't operate correctly, the next troubleshooting step is with the manufacturer of your device or the developer/support provider of the application you're using.
We don't want to guess at problems involving equipment or software that we don't manufacture, control or remotely maintain.
Why Doesn't VEHO TV Remotely Access My Device?
Security is one reason.
VEHO TV does not remotely access customer-owned streaming devices to install applications, modify settings or troubleshoot third-party software.
Your personal device remains your device.
We provide the television connection. You remain in control of the equipment and applications you choose to use with it.
Infiniti TV Is Best for the Do-It-Yourself Streamer
This is actually one of Infiniti TV's strengths.
If you're comfortable downloading applications, entering credentials, changing settings and maintaining your own streaming equipment, Infiniti gives you considerable freedom.
Use your compatible equipment.
Choose your compatible IPTV player.
Manage your setup the way you want it.
VEHO provides the service. You control the device.
But we also understand that isn't how everyone wants to watch television.
Don't Want to Manage Apps and Devices? Meet TroyVision.
If reading about installing apps, entering credentials, updating software and troubleshooting your own streaming device already sounds like something you don't want to deal with, Infiniti TV may not be the best VEHO solution for you.
That's where TroyVision comes in.
TroyVision is designed for customers who want a VEHO-supported streaming solution with its own hardware instead of building and maintaining the setup themselves.
Your TroyVision streaming hardware arrives configured with the entertainment setup it's designed to provide.
Instead of:
“Here's my service. Now I need to figure out the rest.”
the experience becomes much closer to:
“Here's my streamer. Connect it and start watching.”
And because TroyVision is a supported VEHO TV hardware solution, we're supporting the environment we actually supplied and configured.
Two Different Customers. Two Different Solutions.
Neither approach is inherently better. They're designed for different kinds of customers.
Choose Infiniti TV if you already own compatible streaming equipment, are comfortable installing and maintaining third-party applications, and want the freedom to manage your own setup.
Choose TroyVision if you'd rather have a supported streaming device that's already configured for you and don't want responsibility for building the television setup yourself.
That's why VEHO TV offers both.
Some people want the freedom to do it themselves.
Others just want to turn on the TV.
Choose the way you actually want to watch.
