A New Update To TroyVision Streamers
TroyVision Is Getting a Major Update
We have an important update coming to TroyVision TV Sticks, designed to make the TroyVision experience more complete, familiar, and flexible.
A New Live TV Experience
TroyVision is receiving a new Live TV application designed around live television, sports, and special events.
The new interface will also provide a more traditional television experience. Instead of feeling like you're simply navigating another streaming application, the goal is to give TroyVision more of the familiar feel of a cable or satellite TV box, while keeping the flexibility of a streaming device.
For customers who use TroyVision heavily for sports and live programming, this should be one of the most noticeable improvements.
More Flexibility for Private Video On Demand
We're also making a major change to the TroyVision Private Video On Demand system.
Previously, Private Video On Demand depended on the customer's registered home IP address. While that approach provided a private environment, it could also limit access when using the TroyVision Stick away from the customer's usual internet connection.
The updated system is being designed to remove that IP-address dependency.
Once the update is available, Private Video On Demand should be able to work across a much wider range of internet connections rather than being tied specifically to your home network. This should make it considerably easier to use your TroyVision Stick while traveling or at another location.
As with any internet-based streaming service, actual availability and performance can vary depending on the internet connection, network configuration, location, service availability, and other technical factors.
Existing TroyVision Owners Do NOT Need New Equipment
This is important:
You do not need to purchase a new TroyVision Stick.
You do not need to replace your existing equipment just to receive these improvements.
When the updated Private Video On Demand application becomes available, existing TroyVision owners will simply need to update the application through the Google Play Store on their TroyVision device.
We Heard the Issue — and We Worked on It
At VEHO TV, we recognized that tying Private Video On Demand to a customer's usual IP address could limit the flexibility people expect from a streaming device.
So we worked to improve it.
TroyVision is meant to provide a straightforward entertainment experience without requiring customers to constantly replace hardware as the platform improves.
This update moves TroyVision toward that goal: a more traditional Live TV experience, expanded sports and event viewing, an improved Private Video On Demand system, and greater flexibility when using your device away from home.
More information will be provided as the update rolls out.
To all of our TroyVision owners: thank you for continuing to grow with us.
Your TroyVision Stick isn't being left behind. It's getting better.
